Azhar is an investor at Arali Ventures.

At Arali, he works with founders and teams building in Robotics, Industrial AI, B2B Marketplaces, and Deeptech, with a particular focus on companies thinking India-first: hardware that solves local problems, software that understands local business needs, and frontier tech applications that are genuinely new rather than imported solutions. 

Before joining Arali, Azhar spent over 3 years at Deshpande Startups managing incubation programs and working with early-stage companies on execution, market access, and ecosystem building. He also co-founded Zam Foods, a QSR chain, and has hands-on manufacturing experience designing and building competition vehicles (SAE BAJA and all-terrain vehicles) at the national level during his time at MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
